Neem oil comes from the seed kernel of the Neem tree. It has many therapeutic effects for human illnesses and has earned a reputation as the “wonder tree”. Its medicinal characteristics are laid out in the earliest Sanskrit writings and its use in Hindu medicine dates back to distant times. Today, Indians call the Neem tree their “village pharmacy” and it has a reputation as Friend and Protector in their villages.
These oils contain hormones, vitamins, antibiotics, and antiseptics. They are the most concentrated form of herbal energy. These oils are the vital part of the plant – the “spirit” and “soul.” The fragrance of the plant comes from the essential oil.
I dedicate this Web site to two important people in my life. I lost both of them in the last three years. They are my father, Leland and my husband’s mother, Shirley.
My father was a quiet man. He was very friendly and very handy. He was a plumber, pipefitter by trade but he could do carpentry, electrical work and mechanical work. He even repaired his own work clothes on the sewing machine….just because he wanted to. He taught me how to wire a lamp. If something broke and I couldn’t fix it myself he would fix it for me.
My father was also a WWII veteran. He never talked about the war until he became elderly. I knew he fixed the military trucks, but it wasn’t until later in life I knew how close he had come to dying.
Some of the best times I had with my father was the camping trips we took as a family. He loved to fish. I remember going out in the little fishing boat with him. He always put the worms on. -smile- You could always find him talking with another camper.
I never called my husband’s mother my mother-in-law. She was a strong, kind, and generous woman. I wish that everyone had a “mother-in-law” like her. I could not even think of a bad thing to say about her. I know she loved me and she always made me feel a part of her family.
I remember her coming to help me when my daughter was born. Some of the best times was going to her house and sitting in the kitchen and drinking coffee and talking. She had the best stories. She had a love for animals just as I do. Her Persian cats and dogs filled her house.
These precious people in my life were opposites in appearance. My father was a simple man in dress. My husband’s mother was flamboyant in dress…very unique. I loved that about her as I loved to be different in my dress when I was younger, wearing hats with feathers and such to church, for example.
I miss you Papa and Mama….
